I just happened upon this while looking at CO2 pistols for my son and was immediately drawn to it for its realistic appearance and blowback operation. I watched a few videos and showing it shooting on full auto and decided it was definitely a fun option - especially for 14 year old! When I got it I was surprised at how heavy it is. It is constructed of all die-cast metal, and I guess that's the thing in air guns. It's got that big, blocky, bold feel of the original, and I really like touches like the selector switch and safety lever, both designed way back when all this stuff was just being figured out. The magazine is also sturdy die-cast metal except for the threaded CO2 plug! One would think that would be the one part they would make out of honest steel, but not so. Maybe it's because the system needs a little "give" to avoid over tightening and the metal magazine body is unyielding. As with all these blowback BB guns, the heart of it is really the magazine. That's where the BBs go and where the CO2 cartridge goes, and where the firing valve is located. Looking closely you can see the large external hammer really impacts a solid steel "firing pin" located below the bolt and this transfers the impact to the magazine mounted CO2 Valve. I decided to do a test run so I added a drop of 3-in-1 oil to the top of a CO2 cartridge, inserted it into the magazine body and tightened down the plug being careful to not over-tighten it after I heard the hiss of gas being expelled, suddenly silenced as the O-ring sealed. I loaded up the magazine with some Zinc coated steel BBs and touched off a few shots in semi-auto. It worked perfectly! The bolt cycled back just like an original (BB adaptation of course) and re-cocked the hammer. The BBs easily penetrated two layers of umarexoutlet.com shipping box cardboard from about 12 feet out. I then rotated the selector to full-auto and sure enough, "BbbbrrrrrapP! It spewed out a half dozen BBs instantly with a quick squeeze. I double-checked the magazine to see I still had ammo and loosed another short burst, and another, and M712 performed flawlessly! I didn't want to waste CO2, so I flipped back to semi-auto to shoot the last few BBs. Even when the gun runs out of BBs, as long as there is CO2 it will continue to cycle which can also be fun. Then a strange thing happened. I racked the bolt and saw I had one more BB in the barrel, and when I pulled the trigger nothing happened! The hammer dropped, but nothing happened. I pulled the magazine to inspect the valve, checked out the long firing pin and hammer and was totally perplexed as to why the gun suddenly refused to function! All the controls looked good...I even used the end of a large Allen wrench to press the CO2 valve and was rewarded with a powerful hiss of escaping gas so I knew the gun should work. Well, it took me a few minutes to figure out that I had manually lowered the hammer after checking the chamber. Apparently the bolt must cycle back to cock the hammer to properly "set" the firing pin and since I had been trying to shoot it by manually cocking the hammer without cycling the action nothing happened. As soon as I racked the bolt back to cock the hammer and saw the stainless steel firing pin protruding out I knew what I had been doing wrong. Sure enough, a pull on the trigger and the gun shot and cycled as designed! The problem was not the pistol but my lack of familiarity with how it works and not following the proper sequence. Time will tell how well the M712 will hold up, but it looks pretty sturdy and because it's marketed by Umarex I know I will be able to find replacement parts if and when I need them.

This gun is fantastic and shoots faster than I had anticipated. As you can see from my pictures, I shot at a tree from 40 feet away and the BBs penetrated both the bark and underlying wood. Look and Feel: This gun is not small by any means. With regard to size it is a true-to-life replica. The weight distribution is located mostly in the handle and allows it to rest comfortably in your hand. Although it does have a fairly noticeable plastic feel, the gun still maintains a solid build and can pass as real. Accuracy and Power: I set the gun on a tripod and marked a piece of wood at the point where my sight was aimed. I then shot and marked the point where the BB actually hit in order to measure the drop from different distances. At 40 feet the drop is less than 1/4inch. At 60 feet the drop was measured at 3/4 of an inch. At 80 feet the drop became more prevalent and measured in at a little over 1 and a half inches. At 100 feet the drop was measured as 2 inches, and at that distance the BBs also started to slightly curve with the prevailing wind. I started the test with a full cartridge of CO2. Lifespan of CO2 cartridge size: Overall the C02 cartridges offered a steady 90 shots worth of decently accurate trigger pulls. After that the depletion of air became more evident as each shot started to drop more and more. Overall: 90 decently accurate and powerful shots, 40 lob shots, and 10 shots that travel no more than 10 feet. I recorded an average of 150 shots per CO2 cartridge. Con 1: This is not a quick pour reload gun. The magazine holds 20 BBs and you have to insert them into the clip one by one. I often find myself spending more time reloading than shooting. Con 2: The magazine clip has a tendency to jam. For every 5 magazine loads I would insert I would say 2 of them ended up in a jam. At which point I had to remove the magazine, remove the clogged BB, and reinsert the magazine (sometimes I had to do this 2-3 times until finally the top BB was properly pushed into the chamber).

These are exactly the same as the ones that came with the rifle. They all work flawlessly. Gotta have back ups for the back ups!

I love this airgun I have so much fun shooting targets with my kids in the back yard and desert. It's very accurate and is great for the extermination of the birds that deficate all over my stuff. I like that I can control how fast the pellet flies as well.

Hello. I have been a long time purchaser of your ammo and have always found it above par and very well made. Unfortunately, the last purchase I made was a disappointment to say the least. I immediately noticed the bullets were slightly mishapen, which is unsusal for this company. I started using them in my rifle and noticed metal shavings every time I would fire the gun. (BTW this was a brand new gun I had just bought and only used this type of ammo in) I kept using this ammo and the gun started to have issues. The bullet wouldnt fully load and it was almost impossible to aim. I assumed it was the rifle, so I bought a new one and continued to have the same issues. I then noticed the metal shavings when carrying the bullets in my hand. Im not sure what happened with this ammo, but its very disappointing and cost me a rifle. I dont know if manufacturing chaged or what but these are definitely not the same as the ammo I normally purchase from this company. I would definetly NOT reccommend.

When purchasing a $300+ brand new item I expect the packaging to be new as well. The pictures of the box/packaging is exactly how it came. Held together by clear tape and absolutely beat to ****! Part of the box isn't even there and it's just tape on the foam padding. Makes me think this is a previously returned item and if that's the case then It should be discounted as refurbished and not sold as new. I haven't even got to shoot it yet so for all I know this thing might not even work. It's disappointing it really is.

Great .177 BB's best ive ever bought hands down

I am a big fan of Umarex airguns and this one keeps the tradition going. I like it's simple operation. All you need is the rifle, a box of pellets and you can spend the day in the woods. Probably my favorite feature is the 12 shot rotary magazine. Just load 12 pellets and you are good for that many shots. More time shooting, less time reloading. The Emerge is also at home on the shooting bench with outstanding accuracy. I got the .177 caliber which shoots at an impressive 1000 fps. I was able to get really tight groups with the scope which is included. If you prefer open sights you will love the fiber optic sights which come on the Emerge. The stock feels very solid, has a great textured surface and integrated cheek piece. Umarex's "Silence Air" integrated supressor works very well. In the woods it doesn't disturb game and makes it good for back yard shooting too. If I was considering a "bugout" or survival rifle I would choose the Emerge since it requires nothing more than pellets for it's operation. I highly recommend the Emerge.

This isn’t the product shown. Not even close. The mag on the right is what it was supposed to be

Get the negative out of the way First...It's not too accurate beyond 20 foot and unless you put a BB directly into the eye it's useless for any kind of self defense and I know from experience that eventually the self contained compression tank will lose its seal so it would no longer be moving at 200fps.....that being Said This is an outstanding little toy if you just want to do a little plinking in the back yard. It holds 15 or 16 BBs or you can single load pellets. It looks Great which is actually the reason I bought this particular item is because of the John Wick connection. It looks great on display with my wick props and replicas. For $26 you couldn't go wrong.

For the price this gun is great. Very powerful, high range, and great quality for price. The only bad thing is that the hopup does not come adjusted and I haven’t figured out how to adjust it yet. Btw did not buy it on umarexoutlet.com I bought it at Academy sports. A lot of people say it leaks but mine doesn’t don’t know if I just got a good one or what but it works great. Very good co2 airsoft handgun highly recommend. Update July 25th, 2024. Well it was working fine until I heard hissing coming from the gun and upon further inspection I found that my magazine was leaking co2. Apparently what happened is that one of the small pins that pressurizes the magazine broke and the co2 was leaking out. There wasn’t a lot leaking out just a little bit so I can still use it fine I just lose 2 grams of the co2 in the co2 cartridge when I’m using it. But I will be buying an extra magazine for it if it becomes more of an issue.

It took me a little while to pull the trigger on this purchase…(see what I did there?), but I am so glad I did!! It was a little more expensive than some other options but the quality is second to none….I mean, it’s an official Glock licensed product after all. It came packaged well and arrived on time. The pistol was brand new and oiled well. The magazine was fresh and the spring was nice and sturdy. Everything was perfect. I’ve used it for target practice a few times already and it shoots straight and true…exactly what you want it to do. If you are in the market for an airsoft pistol, just get this one!!! You will not be disappointed!

NBB model - feels nice. Aluminum slide, nice weight to it. Looks great too. Only the handle has that sort of toy plastic shine, and it’s not too noticeable to be honest. Awesome fiber optic front sights. Trigger pull weight seems kind of nutty, probably can’t shoot it all day long without your forearm burning.

Not working. Noticed it was already used and had stains on it. Very dissapointed.also I read the instructions and pit the batteries in correctly and couldn't find a sticker inside the battery pack area.

Very accurate, but 8% of bullet weight is not up to standard,$4.46, Value for money is good.
