   advertised fiber optic sightS is incorrect. the front sight only is a very poor fiber optic sight. very dismal on bright sunny day. i cut the front sight hood off hoping to increase light to fiber optic front only sight with no increase in brightness. the rear sight was hard to see because it is solid black that blends with front sight hood. i modified my sights as seen in photo. the point of front sight helps pin point target. in the photo is my sight alignment with point of impact right at top of front sight so not to cover target. advertised velocity is very misleading. in photo is a list of velocities you might get with certain pellets if you can find them. in the lower .177 pellets are higher velocities you might get with alloy pellets. are they 90% aluminum 10% lead? i did get 1 1/2 inch 3 shot groups off a rest at approx. 15 yards. long creeping trigger makes it hard to a hit a target off hand.

   Not bad for the money, once you run some clean patches through the bore. Mine did not like cheap .177 cal pellets. The front sight isn’t great, it’s oversized, and hard to get a good sight picture on sub 1″ targets at 7 to 10 yards. I ended up getting some good alloy pellets, and doing some of the common sight mods that other owners have posted online. After that, it grouped within 0.5″ within 7 to 10 yards. I wouldn’t shoot much past that range without adding a picatinny rail and a decent airgun scope.

   No integrated rail mount from factory. So I used a rail section I had(it’s made of aluminum), I’m sure plastic of some type would be just as fine though. I DID NOT remove the top piece I just used super glue and then just eye-balled it setting it on it. Then used a couple of cable/zip ties to really apply a little pressure on it. I let it set for 24 hours then cut off zip ties. Then a little black paint to cover up the glue line. WOW! Now I really love it. I haven’t decided yet what to put on it but let me tell you it’s sweet! And I want to thank the people you see on YouTube etc., that inspired me to do this AND from those of you who do take the time to give a review on products and ideas that help a guy like me get my product/device to that next level of pure enjoyment. And the bragging rights I now have. Anyway you can remove top piece of gun and drill and mount that way but this is working great and strong! I’ve got $6.00 into the cost for the rail and glue if I remember correctly. I’m putting some pics up so you can see it. Enjoy and STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS

   Powerfull punch for the .22cal I purchased.
   Pumping it up is stiff and gets stiffer with each additional pump.
   It let’s you know right away how much compression you’ll need to target.
   You’ll find out.
   * As with all air pistols or rifles, follow the manufacturer’s suggestions on upkeep. [cleaning, and which oils to use]
   Do not use the same oils and cylinder solvents you would use with your handguns and hunting rifles. And no stripping the gun barrel and re- bluing.
   Very important.
   I’ll bought a cleaning kit, pellets, and oil at the same time.
   Keep this air pistol clean and oiled and enjoy it for much time to come.

   Was excited to get the Umarex strike point – liked that it had variable power (multiple pump), and so I assumed it was easier to pump. But firstly, the guns package said it can fire only at 600 fps with a lighter pellet. So the item description on the listing (claiming it fires at 650 fps) is not accurate. So that was a let off. But that was not really a deal breaker. I had read reviews and it seemed that the pumping would be easier than a single pump, but that was not the case. While trying to pump, at one point it almost felt like it was locked. After using considerable force, was able to pump it. For the next attempt it started pumping very easily, but did not fire the pellet, and it felt as if it was not actually getting pumped, I could almost feel that the air was leaking. Upon inspecting the underbelly, it turned out that the O ring seemed to have broken. And that probably explained the easy pumping with little resistance. As highlighted in the picture, during the pumping action, it looks like the O-ring comes out of the piston cylinder. There is a little gap between the cylinder edge and the O ring/piston! Maybe that’s where the O-ring gets chipped off while entering back in the cylinder when we start to pump. Am no expert, but this seems like a design flaw. Each time during pumping, the piston & the O ring will come out and the O ring will have to brush at the edge of the cylinder before getting in! Not sure if this happens with the Crosman 1377, am thinking of giving it a try! Bottom line, despite its good looks, and seemingly accurate targeting and a good polymer body (that does not feeling plasticy or tachy) I had to return it after day 1 due to a broken O ring!

   Accurate after installation of red dot scope. From 28 to 30 feet I get a grouping of about 1 inch or less. I had to glue a picatinny rail on to be able to mount a red dot scope. 6 pumps from 30 feet is more than enough to be fairly accurate. Over all I am happy with my purchase.
