This stuff is expensive for the tiny bit you get. This is the stuff suggested by the manufacturer for RWS air rifle maintenance, so it is what I will use.
This stuff really restores the black to the bluing on my rifle. A little dab’ll do.

Way too expensive!!!! $40/oz!!! Benefits of use not readily discernable. Only bought it at manufacturer’s recommendation and afraid that non-use would invalidate warranty

If you plan to use this directly in the chamber of a spring-powered air rifle as I did – BE CAREFUL! I understand that there is an applicator kit (you can also buy for additional $$$), but I thought I would be able to control the dosage to a couple of drops. Although I was extremely careful, apparently the cramped area of the chamber opening allowed enough liquid surface tension to flood the chamber – and in very short order, the spring was completely destroyed in my Ruger Air Magnum – dieseling shattered it into six pieces. This stuff CANNOT be used without a dosing needle or you will destroy your gun. So thanks a lot, Umarex!!!!!

If you have a spring piston type air rifle, you MUST use this type of lubricant. It is not petroleum based.
Petroleum lubricants can cause dieseling (or more accurately, detonation) in your rifle’s compression chamber. That could ruin your rifle, or possibly your life, depending on how much damage the detonation causes. Simply put, petroleum products under high pressure are great in engines and terrible in anything else…and your air rifle develops 2,000-3000 p.s.i. or more.
The bad news is that this stuff is expensive. The good news is that you will use only 2-3 drops every 1,000 shots.
The only improvement I can suggest is in the bottle itself: a needle tip for precise dispensing would be great. But the product works. It will preserve your rifle, and it will keep you safe. Viewed in those terms, it’s a bargain.

Got it for my RWS 34.
Read that chamber lube is the most important part of lubing, and need to use correct lube (to avoid dieseling and combustion).
Spent the little extra to get this little bottle.
Needs only 3 drops every 500-1000 pellets.
Guess it will last me 10,000-20,000 pellets, so well worth the money to keep the most important part of air rifle in good working condition.
For hinges and outside bluing I just use gun oil.
For spring I used ballistol (doesn’t run or gum up, and easy to reach and spray with the straw).
