At first I thought it was defective cuz right out of the box I started trying to pump air into it and it just came right out the barrel. Once you chamber a round you can pump air into it and it will hold unlike with the old ones I had when I was younger you can pump them up anytime and you’re good to go. The scope that comes with it is cheap but it does work not sure for how long but it does the job. So far I put about 30 rounds through it and it’s holding up. It’s nice it’s accurate and if you’re looking to take your kid out with you hunting squirrels it will do the job
