Such a nice shooting single cocking bb rifle that I ended up buying a second one. I was skeptical at first, but after shooting a few hundred rounds through them I found them really accurate up to 10-15 yards. Slight tapping of the rear sights and you are hitting them rubber ducks with surprising accuracy. You can buy 1″-2″ rubber ducks pretty cheap for a bundle. Feels like you are at a carnival again. Highly recommend the Marlin over the other know competitors in the single cocking rifles range.

One of my favorite guns to shoot. But. It’s cheap. Obviously it’s comparable to much worse guns. But at 40$ sub 300fps is a real downer. :/ the little “shroud suppressor” at the end makes it sound pretty cool, but. The rear “iron sights” were cheap plastic, when I tried to adjust it the first time. It popped off, and wouldn’t go back on right. 🥺

First of all I was surprised by the build quality, design and overall good looks of this Umarex rifle. And yes, it is made in China just like its competition. Also, if you think a BB gun should have a wooden stock and forearm then you’ll probably want to buy a Daisy – although in the past they sold millions of BB guns with similar plastic stocks. I also like the fact that this rifle has a stronger main spring than the competition and shoots slightly harder. Why Daisy advertises their guns shoot up to 350 fps is unknown. Right out of the box most of their BB rifles actually shoot around 245 fps. While I haven’t chonographed this one yet, I would guess it shoots at least 15% faster or somewhere around 280 fps. I also love the large rear peep sight and think that’s a great choice especially for new shooters and the fact that the cocking lever is made of metal rather than plastic.

Read the instructions, and read again, you’ll quickly realize this BB gun isn’t meant to shoot pellets. If you drop them down the “black hole” (clearly marked BBs only) you’ll end up breaking your new plinker. The magnetic firing pin isn’t exposed where you can place a pellet in. 40 years ago when I was 8yrs old, I understood how that worked. As far as being suckered into buying it thinking $30 gets you anything but plastic (the standard for decades now), well, I really don’t know what to tell ya. Common sense deficiency right there. Of course it’s plastic, this isn’t the 1950’s people. If you find a real wood BB gun, it won’t be for $30.
For my opinion on this rifle, i got it on sale, showed up quick, and put it to work protecting my animals with great success. No harm to the pests, and my animals are good again. It’s a better option than one of my 22’s which is why I bought it. The hippy wife is happy also, which is important. I bought some targets to make sure it’s sighted in, and it’ll be fun for the boys to play with also. If you can get it on sale go for it, or if you don’t care about saving money, it’s worth it either way, much cheaper than a vet bill too.

I purchased this rifle to run off wild animals from my yard and deck. My old BB rifle delivered a shot but not straight
and forward. The old BB rifle pushed BBs outward but with a slight upward projectory which required the rifle to be lowered slightly to compensate for the error. This BB rifle shot true. The appearance of the rifle is extraordinarily realistic.
After testing the rifle’s capability to shoot true and its construction, I highly recommend the purchase.

I bought this BB Marlin .177 and it looked perfect. Today I tried using it, and it is not loading the rounds. I’ve gone to YouTube videos to verify if I was not loading correctly, but I am. Unfortunately I received it on 4/4 and missed the return date. So, can’t exchange and hope retailer will contact me to address the problem.
