POTENTIAL BUYERS PLEASE READ!! There are two types of shells that are sold one is silver and one looks like gold. The silver are advertised for pellets the gold or advertised for BB I am happy to tell you that both shells are the same. I have even taken apart a silver and gold shell to be sure it is the exact same type of system being used for both. You will also find the silver shells generally cost more because they are advertised for pellet perhaps that is the alloy used to make them silver that raises the cost but good news you can purchase the gold shells which are generally cheaper and usually more readily available and they will work exactly the same! This fits the Umarex colt SAA pellet(4.5mm) or BB(4.5mm)pistol. Be aware there is an air soft version(6.0mm). So be sure you are getting the correct ammo. happy plinking!

If you own an Umarex Peacemaker, Model 29 or Cowboy Lever Rifle you need these extra “shells” in case some get lost in the weeds or damaged. I noticed the Cowboy Rifle in particular beats up the shells as they’re cycled through the action, so you’ll need a bunch in case some end up being lost or beat up beyond reliable use. BTW I’ve run pellets through these even though the brass ones are supposed to be meant for BBs.

This pistol is very close in size and weight to a real colt. Finish makes it great for display. Loading BB’s into the cartridges adds to the realism. Accuracy at short distances is very good. I would suggest that when you order, add an extra set or two of cartridges. Allows for more shooting between reloads and less wear on the cartridge seals.
Great product and well worth the money. I’m considering ordering some of the other offerings such as the Remington copy.

Great product 👍 works perfectly in my Umarex Legends Series lever action rifle and yes using pellets.
I colored the tips where the lead would be on real ammo using a silver sharpie and they look awesome.
Not a single problem with over 3000 shots and I have 40 of these to use. The gun will shoot 80 plus shots before running out of power so I’m thinking I need to get 40 more so I don’t have to stop and reload as often. 🙂

Same as the ones that came with the Colt pistol.

These casings aren’t actually metal and are cannot be magnetized.

What a scam, I bought three packs of these shells, “bit the bullet” and paid the exorbitant shipping (almost as much as product and I live in same city, Vancouver) and I only got 3/4 of what I paid for. Pretty upset with them as I see they’ve pulled this scam on others as well.

I bought these for my Umarex Colt SAA pellet revolver which came with 6 silver colored cartridges. These gold or brass colored cartridges work just the same but at a lesser price. That’s a good thing. Other than the color of the alloy used, both types are identical in dimension and functionality. Now, these cartridges do not resemble the actual .45 Colt ammo. They look a lot like a .357 Mag cartridge. This does not bother me, personally. I can live with that. If I want to show off, I use my gunfighter style Western belts with holsters. Those belt loops are filled with the real ammo.
Anyway, these cartridges can be used in any Umarex brand revolvers using these. They will not fit revolvers of other makers. No, you cannot use them in a Crosman .357 Mag pellet or BB revolver.
They work very well in my Colt replica. I went ahead and ordered 2 more sets. Now I have 24 of them. I can reload 3 times without having to put pellets to where on real ammo the primer would be. I enjoy that. The expense for this is justifiable, in my books.

These shells are very similar to the silver ones for the pellet version of the pistol, however the ID of the case is slightly smaller on these so the pellet can actually get stuck in them. I haven’t had this happen, and it honestly doesn’t decrease range/Velocity, but thought I would mention it anyways.
UPDATE: For no reason other than bordem I decided to drill out the ID of the brass cases to match the silver ones the pistol ships with. The metal is extremely easy to drill through and it took me all of ten minutes to drill out all 24 brass cases I own. If you are going to do this make sure you take the O-ring out first so you don’t damage it.
