RWS is a world class manufacturer of airgun pellets. Though the Diabolo Basic is a low end offering, it still may perform extremely well in one or more of your airguns. At the current price from umarexoutlet.com, these are a great value. I use these as training/plinking pellets and to run all chronograph testing of .177 caliber guns. You can buy cheaper pellets at the ‘big box’ stores, but none will likely perform as well as the Diabolo Basic.

i have five different models of air guns, and the best grouping at fifty feet I could get was about 2 inches. this was with scopes and open sights. Not at all impressed.

These are the cheapest target pellets in the RWS line… and yet they’re more than enough for most competition, and certainly more than enough for casual shooting and practice. Looking at these Basics and RWS Meisterkugeln under a microscope, the Basics look a bit rougher and not as polished as the Meisterkugeln. Shot out of the IZH-46, though, i can’t really tell the difference. Maybe the Meisterkugeln pellets will make a difference to an Olympian who can keep 90% of his pellets in the 10 ring, but for me- I’m happy to keep 90% in the 8 ring- they shoot just as well as the expensive ones. At half the cost of the Meisterkugelns they’re a great deal for those of us who like to shoot a lot. Practice with these, save the Meisterkugelns for competition, and buy the R10 if you make it to the Olympics.

Very accurate and uniformed, but soft and lightweight.
Note: I’ve used these in my Crosman 1377 and M4-177 both around 600fps max.
Softness–helps preserve your backboard compared to “hunting” pellets, which are noticeably denser and pack a bit more punch. I haven’t found any deformed or damaged pellets (went through about 150 of the tin so far), so they’re dense enough to hold up to shipping.
Lightweight–these are only 7.0 grain pellets, so I wouldn’t recommend them for high powered or long range shooting; also given that they’re flat-head, they won’t hold the trajectory as well.
These are hands-down unbeatable for the price ($5.06 for 500 = 1 cent per pellet)! Grab a couple tins and get plinking!

I would had gave this product more than one star if I could had shot the pellets. Package was severely damaged before it was placed in the box it broke open on transport and most of the pellets were smashed, bent , and deformed.. I wish I could had given them a fair review.

E everything appears to be fine and uniform with these babies, i’am sure they’ll be great when I get the time to try them out. They all look prefect and good to me, Iam saying this because others are saying some pretty rude things about their air-gun ammo. Like may-be the quality control department is asleep and other such demeaning words. However i don’t get it ,I’ve shoot a lot of rounds from a different companies and I rarely see a bad round, I mean I’am not holding a magnifying glass up to check each and every one out. Nobody’s perfect all the time and these are pellets and not 50 caliber ammo, give it a rest, and HAPPY SHOOTING.

These pellets are super consistent and perform very well from my “pile of parts” Franken-Daisy. So, I have a Daisy that started life as a 953, but then I got ahold of an 888 single-load breach and receiver, and an 853 Lothar-Walther barrel. After a little trigger work and barrel spacer adjustment, I have the little rifle shooting pretty well. With a 32x scope, I am able to put 5 of these RWS Basics into a group that measures 0.13″ from center to center. That is the average of five, 5-shot groups from a rest at 10 meters. It rarely shoots 0.1″ groups, but also rarely shoots over 0.16″ groups. It could never acheive such consistency without these excellent pellets. It is possible that more expensive pellets may shoot better, but since I am shooting at an amateur level, and this is standing shooting without a sling, I am plenty happy with 0.13″ groups. When I can get groups of under 0.2″ offhand, I will try some pricier pellets. That’s certainly no easy feat. It’s the equivalent of hitting a golf ball 5 times in a row while standing at 100 yards. Did I mention 10 meter is also shot with open sights? No scopes. Be aware that just because my gun likes these pellets, doesn’t mean yours will. However, my Gamo Compact 10-meter pistol will shoot these into a group of just over 0.3″, while RWS Hobbies will shoot about 0.2″.

I shoot 250-500 pellets each weekend, and for the price, these are the best pellets I can find. I usually go for whatever is the cheapest, such as crossman destroyers (250 for $3) or gammo or crossman bulk packs. Gammo pellets are junk, and have the most deformed pellets per 100. The crossman have a few duds, and leave your fingers black with lead dust after handling. Both the gammo and crossman pellets sometimes jam or fall out of my magazines because they are not all the same size. These Umarex Diabolo pellets are all uniform in size, clean and consistent! They seem to have a touch of lubricant on them to keep the lead dust minimal. I shoot a low speed (~450 fps) pellet pistol, so I really enjoy the light weight of these pellets. Very accurate, and a great price at around $6 for 500. I highly recommend these pellets!
