   This one in particular sucks because I’ve had a great experience with Umarex all together now, but I’ve had two of these and the charging handle had broken within the first few days with minimal use, sad to see.

   I was so excited to get this in as a side arm for my M14. the batter has to be very specific…. I finally got to the field with it. I ran it on a sling secondary to my AR, the clip for the sling broke right away. I did not give up. I hooked sling to trigger guard. when opportunity came to get into close combat I switched it up to the MP5, It was only 37 F but I barley got 50 ft of range. I literally got more kills with my 2 nades per game. after an hour I gave up on using it. looks cool, but hop up is hard to find. basically useless.

   I will fix the sling clip and try again in spring. I had to adjust hop on AR to get range. was soo bummed with it

   I’m very satisfied with the weight and feel of this replica. It’s a solid metal frame and metal magazines. Plastic foregrip and lower receiver. Replacing the battery is tool-less and simple. Two spring loaded pins in the back and one in the front. The battery inserts in the top of the frame and rests against the charging handle. The battery plugs in under the removable foregrip. The charging handle is spring loaded and can be operated when there is no battery installed. My battery uses every millimeter of space when inserted. I’m using the AEG Battery Starter Package w/ Smart Charger (Battery: 9.6v 1600mAh Small Stick Type). The charger has a button on it that must be pressed to begin charging after attaching the battery. Otherwise the charger appears “green” and may lead you to believe a new battery is already charged. If you operate the gun with a low battery, you may jam the gearbox due to an anti-reversal latch. This can be fixed by removing the bottom plate of the pistol grip, unplugging and removing the motor, and using a long metal hook to pull the latch off of the gear, through the exposed hole inside of the grip. There are youtube videos with examples. This happened to me on day 1. Be aware the manual says in fine print that use of 0.12g airsoft BBs will void the warranty. It recommends 0.20g or higher. The Gemtech Raptor II Mock Suppressor is compatible with the 3-lug mount and looks great on the gun. See pictures above. It’s simple to install or remove with one short twist. Standard slings also easily attach to the rear plate. The included magazine is metal. Only one magazine was included but additional metal magazines can be purchased.
