   The gun itself is amazing. I love it, but the magazine is where the problem is for me. There’s a piece on the magazine that catches the slide catch and it’s made of plastic so it wears down fairly quickly and doesn’t catch the slide. This is an easy fix for elite force all they have to do is make the plastic piece metal.

   When it comes to getting a bang for your buck… THIS IS THE BEST you can get. For one, these things can live on forever and are insanely reliable. I’ve had mine for a couple years and as long as you take care of them, they will for sure last. Pretty much the Toyota or Honda of airsoft. Although they can be old, they are just that good. Plus, they can take a beating anytime anywhere. I’m a very aggressive player so my weapons usually get banged up quickly and ill have to get them replaced later, but this isn’t like that. If you’ve done your research like how I did, you will understand that this weapon does (one of the best) most outstanding performances when it comes to range, FPS, accuracy, and precision. Not only that, but it is ambidextrous, has a nice fit towards your hands, clean, good weight, CHEAP, and has a threaded tip that allows for amazing muzzle adjustments like for suppressors and tracer units which most or pretty much all pistols dont have besides this one. And another thing is that they are very simple to fix because everyone has one and there are loads of information about them all around the internet. I highly recommend especially if your either brand new or even a middle tier experienced used who needs a reliable and durable side piece. And they look nice too especially the Grey one which is my favorite 🙂

   I decided to purchase this airsoft piece for one reason alone: Cross-Training. I’m a competitive shooter and carry a real firearm for self-defense. I always emphasize the importance of being proficient and this airsoft gun would allow me to train more consistently and takes things a step further from dry firing with its blow-back mechanism that can emulate recoil and allow for better practice for trigger control and rhythm for double or triple-taps. It’s also great to practice drills to speed up the draw, sight alignment, and fire process. When I first got this piece, I was quite impressed with its aesthetics. It’s got a nice flat dark earth finish on the frame and matte finish on the slide. Manipulating the slide feels smooth as a real 1911 and the trigger is decent. Not as crisp as many of the real 1911s, but it does a decent job. The trigger weighs in about 5 lbs and the reset is audible, but kind of mushy. The gun comes with an ambidextrous thumb safety which is great for left handed shooters, however, the spring used for the detent to keep it on safe or fire is quite weak. A slight tap can set it to safe or fire unlike my real 1911s that requires a little more thumb power to manipulate the safety. So one of the things I had to do is to keep my thumb over or under the safety lever depending on whether I wanted to keep it in safe or fire. Mag changes are pretty easy with this piece. The magwell could use some work or improvement whenever Elite Force decides to release a new version of this air-soft piece – mainly adding angled edges in the mag-well to guide mags into the frame with more ease. The sights are your standard three-dot sights; white, no fiber optics or any or that sort. However, you may be able to change them out for others, but I’d recommend not to considering the sights would cost you about as much as you pay for this gun. The slide comes with rear and front serrations that are great for press-checks. Disassembly is easy, you can either go about it as if you were to field strip a 1911 or pull the slide back and remove the slide lock/detent without having to remove the bushing. There is one issue I have, the spring is weak compared to a real 1911 that if I try holstering this gun in a leather holster that it would snag the slide backwards out of battery unless the thumb safety is engaged. All-in all, the gun is quite accurate. It needed some work on the hop-up, but a simple 2 minute process was able to get it running smooth and accurate. It’s a great piece that I think could use some improvement, but it’s practical and fun to shoot. For a little less than $200, you can buy this piece, some CO2 tanks, BBs, cleaning kit, and mags to start practicing. A simple tarp backdrop, tape, and targets printed on paper is all you need to start practicing in your garage.

   Around 350 fps with .25s, anything lighter will curve straight up. .25 need to level out even with no hop up. Hop is super easy to access and adjust, not beginner, full blowback for pros. Feels like a 22 pistols. Don’t buy extra mag, to expensive, not worth it, just buy speedloader. Safety is only for righties. Good trigger feel as well, would recommended for pros and maybe beginners.

   Upgrading from a spring-action 1911 to this one was a huge leap in quality. The gun itself feels very heavy duty and comes with enough kick to have fun with like the real deal. If you’re looking for a recreational replacement with a very similar weight and feel, this is one of the best replicas out there that I could find for under $150. My only two complaints are that the springs on the magazines are a bit tough right out of the box, and they don’t come with any form of lock to keep the spring back as I refill it. I hear about some of the magazines having issues with gas leaks, but I haven’t had any when I just tighten the CO2 cartridge correctly. the magazine itself held about 15 shots and the CO2 lasts about 5 mags each consistently, but I would still swap it out around 3-4 mags if you plan on using it in anything competitively. If I run into anything else along the way that I should include I’ll edit this review, but so far this is the best 1911 I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

   NOTE: This is the son of the buyer. All I have to say is that this airsoft gun is fantastic. It is my first airsoft gun, and I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this for a beginner, but being a beginner, I’m quite impressed. The blowback action is flawless-so far that is. I’ve heard that it locks back every shot like it does once you fire your last bb. Being an airsoft gun, there’s barely any recoil, like, none. I’ve shot real guns before, and this is obviously nothing like it. The realism is awesome, and the blowback, just, no words. It’s also co2 powered. The first time shooting it surprised me, but I hadn’t shot it before. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Realistic Awesome Blowback action Fun This is kind of part of realism, but it’s the airsoft model (and there are others) of the iconic M1911 A1 Comfy A Co2 pistol, which is easier for me because I have experience with co2 Adjustable hop up Cons: The hop up is way off out of the box Awesome fun, super realistic, and highly recommended!
