   As an experienced martial artist, I practice unarmed defense skills against a handgun a lot. I’ve used the solid molded plastic guns but they don’t provide the pulling of the trigger and ‘pop’ simulating firing for feed back. It has the realistic size and feel in the hand that makes for a good practice weapon in class. I’ve used and broken many other pilot guns before. The act of stripping the weapon from an honest grip of a non-compliant partner in class often breaks the plastic slide of other handguns. The fact that this has a metal slide makes it more durable for my purposes. I’ve never used it to fire pilots so I can not attest to it’s range and accuracy. Those where not the reasons I purchased the weapon. I wanted a martial arts practice weapon. I just wish it had a little more weight for realistic of feel.

   Probably the best spring pistol on the market.
   Pros: accurate replica, metal slide, smooth action, nice trigger, shoots best with .20 BBs, 100 percent hit rate at 50 feet on human size target. Can get hits out to 85 feet, albeit with less consistency.
   Cons: can’t think of any! I like springers because they are cost effective. I shoot a LOT and got tired of the expensive blow back guns breaking and the added cost of CO2. Springers are an economical alternative, provided you get a good one. Some are junk. This one is top quality from Umarex!

   The gun feels great in my opinion but right out the box the gun’s mag release was way too loose and couldn’t even hold it. Great news is I found a fix for it and you’ll have to put tape around the back of the mag to keep it in place. I did test the accuracy and it’s good also the slide requires a significant amount of strength. I’m giving it 3 stars for the trouble it out me through

   Just got this pistol, and it’s great! Nice and light slide resistance and pretty awesome firepower! But I do highly recommend you wear some kinda airsoft gloves when using this, because it can be easy to get pinched. Excited to see how it holds up after a while!
