I really wanted to like this Airsoft gun. Our family has lots of Airsoft weapons and my grandson wanted a full/semi auto rifle. This is a beautiful replica by H&K but both guns we ordered as Christmas presents would not fire properly. It appears to me to be a mag issue but I don’t know and had to send them back. They would fire 5 rounds or so on either full or semi auto and then would no longer fire rounds when the trigger was pulled though the firing mechanism engaged. If we wound the wheel on the bottom of the mag it would sometimes fire a few more rounds but not always. My grandson was disappointed so I’ll buy him a different brand. The other full auto weapons we have work perfectly.

I like this gun very much. i have played a couple wars so far and i have done great with it. I believe the only bad part is the mag. The mag i think is a little cheap and every once and a while gets jammed or misfeeds the gun. Besides that this gun is truly amazing.
After a little playing with the gun the mag worked itself out and now the gun is amazing. Best i have had so far.

I got my HK UMP through umarexoutlet.com and I was highly disappointed when I found out that it doesn’t shoot properly. I don’t think it is the gun itself but rather how the mag feeds into the gun. I then returned it and exchanged it for a new one that had the SAME exact problem. I am now buying a mid cap mag without winding in the hopes that cures it. Overall it is an extremely well made gun and I am beyond disappointed, given the fact that if it actually worked it could be one of the best guns on the field.
EDIT DECEMBER 2014—————–>
After getting the new mag the gun works perfectly. 5 stars and it looks super awesome. Its a version 3 gearbox so i recommend getting the M120 or M130 spring to make it shoot farther and harder.

for being all plastic other than the gearbox, this thing is pretty heavy. its accuracy is really good and on point, I would recommend getting a reflex sight though. its stock mag is all right but like all other high cap mags it dry fires constantly but I bought two 110 mid-caps and it works beautifully with no dry fires. it has 4 Picatinny rails, one on top two on the sides and one for the bottom. I’ve seen some reviews claim that it doesn’t come with a battery, but mine came with one but would still recommend getting a better one with a smart charger. I would also recommend a foregrip for it feels kinda weird to hold without it. and sadly the bolt does not work which is kinda disappointing yet again it doesn’t affect performance so it’s not a big deal.
TLDR: this is my third airsoft gun and I would highly recommend for beginners, but I would say it’s not the best right out of the box for it needs some personal touches to it.

This gun is not worth $170, not a bad gun but for almost $200 I expected something that shoots faster than a nerf gun (I’m exaggerating a little bit, but it was still really slow). DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY. I don’t know if they sent me the wrong gun or not, and I’m too lazy to send it back so I’ll take the loss. Let this serve as a warning to anyone looking at this page

This is a really nice gun for the money. My son loves it. Some have mentioned feeding problems with the magazine but it seems ok so far. Once it stopped feeding but it was just a minor jam that he fixed it by removing the mag and tapping gently on a hard surface. The authenticity of the design, materials, mechanics, weight, etc. is scary. If it wasn’t for the orange muzzle cap you would swear it was the real thing. Very cool.
This does come with a 8.4V NiMH stick battery and simple 8.4V DC “wall wart” charger. That’s not to optimal way to charge that type of battery so we are probably going to invest in a smart charger at some point and probably get some extra batteries.
