   If you own an Umarex airgun, be sure to purchase the bb’s from Umarex. It took three returned guns and a lot of research to find out that the Beretta M92 A-1, while marketed as a .177 caliber bb gun, in reality it is actually a .171 caliber bb gun. A .06 difference doesn’t seem like much until your gun begins to jam every 6th or 7th round, then it becomes annoying. Ever since trying these out I have had no problems with the replacement M92.

    I just tried some of these in my Umarex XCP CO2 pistol and the BBs are awesome. I was having trouble penetrating the heavy duty lid on the large beef stew can with regular BBs but these Hornady Black Diamonds zipped right through it. Sometimes the BBs don’t go through both sides of this heavy duty steel can but they all zipped right through with these BBs. No jamming, no failures to feed.
    The bottom line is; so far it looks like they outperform regular BBs. I’ve tried copper coated and zinc coated BBs so it must be the hardened anodized surface of these BBs allows less give when impacting objects. I will use these from now on for serious work like defense against bad dogs.
    I tried shooting some more regular BBs through the can bottom lid and they failed again, as usual, just dented it. With less Co2 now I shot through them with these Hornady BBs and all four shots went right through the can. I would say that is awesome power.

    These bbs shoot very well and I personally didn’t have a problem with them until I noticed that they will rust if they get wet. So, be sure to pick every one of them up off of your cellar floor or are you going to be scrubbing up the rust stains.
